I am an experienced picture book editor and qualified Montessori teacher so I bring to author visits a passion for books and experience of working with children.

I love art and books, so my talks and workshops involve lots of storytelling and making things. Interactive and hands-on – and even a bit messy! – my aim is to get kids fired up about stories, using their imaginations and believing in themselves as future inventors and creators.

"What a wonderful experience for our children! Natascha Biebow started off with a whole school assembly that was fun, very informative and set the tone for the engaging workshops to come. Natascha really brought her book THE CRAYON MAN to life for the children, and I would highly recommend her." – Claudette Maragh, Headteacher

Alexandra Junior School

"We have many budding writers among our students and Natascha's obvious passion for the research and creative writing was really wonderful."

"She carefully included children and adults of all different ages, and very creatively used props and visuals to orient the children to the past."

"Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with the children! They were THRILLED! You have a wonderful way of presenting information to the children in a way that is engaging and interesting to then."– Kimberly Menchu, Ben Franklin Elementary School, NJ

"Natascha's interesting, age-appropriate presentation, accompanying power point, and question-and-answer time, Natascha took students through Edward Binney's fascinating invention process--complete with challenges and even initial failures--and added depth to the story by helping kids understand the historical context of both Binney and his invention."

"The children enjoyed researching the history of the popsicle. The workshop was well-delivered and children learned about analysing sources and verifying information to ensure it's accurate." – Mr Cook, Y5 teacher,  Alexandra Jr School

"We loved that the book is a story book, but taught us real history. Having the chance to mix colours ourselves in class was brilliant. We could pretend we were actually the crayon man!" – Cherry Class Y4, Alexandra Jr School

Virtual visits are a great way for me to share the fascinating story of the invention of Crayola crayons and my author journey with school children and answer some of their questions without me having to spend any time traveling. Plus they have a lot less impact on my carbon footprint than a regular school trip. Some virtual school visits are FREE - support me by adding THE CRAYON MAN to your home or classroom library!
